Scenic Highway
in Englewood Florida

This even occurred on November 15, 2008 at the Bay Heights Waterfront Park - 1000 South McCall Road, in Englewood Florida.
If you don't know where that is... you're not alone. This little known public bay front park is across the street from True Value Hardware on Rt. 776 in Englewood Florida. The following pictures are in the approximate order that I took them. Enjoy :)

This wasn't a big event here in Englewood Florida... but it was a very important one. Becoming a dedicated Scenic Highway in Florida is very difficult... and the people on this page deserve some credit for participating. The Scenic highway route will cover all of Rt 776
from 41 in Venice back to 41 in Port Charlotte Florida and include
Old Englewood Road and Dearborn Street as well as Rt 775 (Placida Road and RT. 771 from Placida to 776.

Well it wouldn't be an Englewood Event
without a few painted faces now would it?

There were vendors of all sorts. Delaney's Meat Market is just up the street from Bay Heights Waterfront Park. They were there serving really tasty hot-dogs and hamburgers and scrumptious pulled pork sandwiches. Lemon Bay Playhouse of Englewood Florida
