Lemon Bay was calm, but the weather conditions were very unstable, with
storms brewing in the east
so the regatta was held behind the Michael Saunders & Company Real
Estate building
(Rt. 776 and Beach Rd.) instead of Indian Mounds Park
where the regatta was originally scheduled to be.

The 4 seat boats were first to race
 |
 |
 |
Equipment malfunction halted the first race while the oar locks are
adjusted.
Rescue boats stand by to assist if needed.
 |
Capt. Dan Richards (yellow shirt) and Capt. Tobe (gray and white fur),
stand ready in their rescue boat along the raceway.

The races themselves are only a few minutes long, but exciting enough to keep everyone interested

Adult masters of this sport race the boats every day at 6:15am and Saturday
at 7am
behind the Michael Saunders Real Estate building at 776 and Beach Road
and offer all adults the opportunity to "give it a try" for a $5 donation
at 7am.
