Miss Englewood Girls Fastpitch Softball
carwash event held at
Frosty’s Ice Cream Parlor
in Englewood, Florida on Saturday February 19, 2005
 

 “THE BOMBERS”, were very successful in their fundraising event.
The girls had a carwash and helmet drive and raised over $2600 to pay for uniforms, 
equipment and team expenses. The monies raised will be matched dollar for dollar 
by the generosity of local businessman Bob McDuffie of the Modern Woodmen of America.

The Bombers would like to thank Mr. McDuffie for his support and pledge
to the teams, also a big thank-you to Mr. Edwin Wdyka of Frosty’s Ice Cream Parlor
for the use of his property for the carwash. 

The deepest appreciation goes out to the Englewood community for their donations 
and support.  The Bombers are ISA sanctioned girls fastpitch softball teams from ages
four years old to sixteen years old, over sixty girls comprise the different teams which are 
broken into age groups 8 and under, 10 and under, 12 and under and 16 and under.
